If you’re looking for an apartment in Nagoya, one of Japan’s three megacities, you’ll want to find a place that’s close to a subway station. Many overseas visitors come to Nagoya on business and easy access to the workplace is a high priority. The city has an extensive subway system, so having a station nearby will make your life much easier.

Nagoya also has many colleges/universities. Your neighbor could be a student too, but people in Japan are often unaware of who lives next door. There isn’t a great deal of interaction between tenants. Don’t worry too much about introducing yourself if your stay is a short one.
