There is the long holiday from the end of April to the beginning of May every year in Japan. The period of the holiday depends on the calendar each year. Most people have separately (28th/APR-30th/APR, 3rd/MAY-5th/MAY), but some people have 9 days off in this year. Many people are going to go foreign countries, visiting their relatives, the camping or spending the time with their family during this holiday season. It seems only Japan and China have the long holiday in this season.

I also had a few days off at the end of April so I visit Yatsugatake in Nagano as 2 days driving trip. Fortunately, I did not get caught in a traffic jam even most people were traveling around. It took 3 hours from Nagoya area to Yatsugatake. This place is located in Nagano prefecture. I went to Haramura area in Yatsugatake. There were more restaurant and shops more than I thought on the road. It was really fun just driving around there as we could find various places. Of course, the view was super beautiful. Surrounded the Japan Alps, lots of mountains were still wearing the snow on the top. The air and atmosphere were really clean, comfortable, flowers were getting blooming. We could feel the spring was coming. Sakura (cherry blossoms) bloomed 1 month later than Nagoya area. The food was also really delicious. Soba is one of the famous food in Nagano. There are many restaurants for handmade Soba. It was so nice that we could enjoy the beautiful view and yummy Soba at the same time.
